Hedgehope Golf Club

A short nine-hole test in rural Southland, framed by tall hedges and named for the hill that watches over it.

In central Southland, the area of Hedgehope was named after Mount Hedgehope. The hill is one of the highest in the area and was named after a similar hill in Northumberland.

A great example of countryside golf in rural Southland, a short nine-hole course but it will test you nonetheless.

Get to Know the Holes

Like many small rural courses, Hedgehope’s nine greens are played twice from different tees, so the markers run all the way to 18 – the old-style signage has its own weathered charm.
