The town was named after the wife of a timber pioneer, Helen McLeod. Everyone has forgotten the husbands name!
The golf club was established in 1948 with the present day golf course being the location since 1959.
A good atmosphere awaits from the starter to the club house. An easy walking course with good sand based greens.
