On the edge of Coromandel Forest Park is nestled a world-class golf course. Lakes Resort Pauanui is in a sun-drenched valley surrounded by natural wetlands The design team completed the course in 2004, and have shown great skill and sympathy towards the natural wetlands.
This is one of New Zealand’s premier golf courses and is highlighted regularly in Tourism New Zealand’s marketing to the golfing world.
The back nine, many say, is one of the best in the country. The course has hosted a raft of international events and is certainly a contender for a place on the best of NZ.
