Grass was seeded on the course in 1969, named the McLeans Island Golf Club. It is located a short drive from Christchurch centre. It is a peaceful place to play with an 18-hole course set in the scenic countryside near the Waimakariri River. Opposite Orana Park Wildlife Reserve, one of my favourite places to take the kids in Christchurch.
