Tai Tapu was voted the favourite 9 hole course in New Zealand in a survey conducted by New Zealand Golf. I will be the judge of that, so I will be prioritising a visit to maybe adding to NZ BEST nine hole courses
It is compact, picturesque, and well set up for golfers of all abilities. The fairways are tree-lined, the greens are generously sized, and each hole presents a different challenge.
The course is in the country but still close to Christchurch – being only 16 km from Christchurch along the Akaroa Highway.
Established in 1933 – there is a great amount of history on the web site to look over. I might like this place – time for a road trip!
