The township of Whatawhata on the Waipa River has a community golf course called Te Kowhai Golf Club.
Located in the Waikato District only 8kms from Hamilton, this flat and tree-lined 9 hole course is in the village. Not up Golf Road or out the back of beyond, but across from the club room and near the dairy.
A social golf course with well-kept fairways, so if you are passing through pull over for a quick nine – just like I did.
