Hamilton Golf Club is known as St Andrews. Located in the St. Andrews suburb of the city. It is truly one of New Zealand’s best tests of golf, and the course is one of the best conditioned.
A has a bit of a links land feel in a parkland setting with a meandering river. The contours and the attractive look are unique, with some of the most extensive bunkering in the land.
The last is a short par 3, with a bunker that will make your eyes water covering the front of the green. Not many 18 holes courses finish with a par 3. This par 3 could end up on the Best Golf Holes of New Zealand List.
Born in 1903 the club found this resting place in 1913. Plenty of history in the fairways and the host of NZ open in 1920, 1927, 1937,1958, 1967 and lastly in 1975.
