Mossburn Golf Club
Nine flat holes in the deer capital of New Zealand, beneath the Takitimu Mountains
The town of Mossburn is known as the deer capital of New Zealand. The 9 hole golf course is not dear, $10, and your away. A flat course with wide fairways underneath the attractive Takitimu Mountains.
The course is flat with many trees for company. Some of the softest greens in the country are right here. The course is rural and quiet, if you do meet a local they will be friendly.
There are distinct tee variations on the second nine. So they get the right to have two names for each hole. The ninth is a par 3 or a par 4 for the 18th from a different angle.

Every hole marker here doubles as an ad board for a local business, a small-town sponsorship touch that turns up on almost every sign in the set.
