Whakatane Golf Club

Whakatane Golf Club is 18 holes of easy walking golf. It has a parkland feel by the sea. The course is lush and flat. The greens are legendary for their slickness.

The club dates back to 1914, Charles Redhead the famous golf course designer got around a few courses in the area. In 1932 this course was formed in this wonderful location overlooking Moutohora Island.

The course is 6,009 metres and a par 70, just north of the township.

When you get to the 16th you’ll need to retain some energy to hit the 194-metre par 3 and stay well clear of the 4 steep faced bunkers.
