If you are looking for an unpretentious 9 holes, here it is. Don’t be fooled by the country lodge title the golf course here is a fun and friendly stroll.
The Northridge Country Lodge Golf Course is not an affiliated club. These 9 holes will never affect your handicap, so slash away at your leisure.
The course has many hazards and for a friendly stroll prepare to lose a golf ball or 2. The fairways are tight and a creek influencing 5 holes will keep you challenged.
The tee boxes are artificial grass affairs and the greens need a roll and a good haircut. So leave your golfing snobbery in the car and enjoy the pleasant surroundings.
A quick run-down of what lies in store for you. A short par 4 first up has the road on your left. The 2nd is a short par 3 from back in the woods. 2 short par 4’s next up – better score well here – there are tough holes to come.
Another short par 3 on the 5th – the 3 par 3’s are all under 100 metres. The shortest par 5 ever at 350 metres is the 6th – there is a seriously demanding drive. A big tree on the corner protects the fairway and OB on the left. If you land on the fairway there is an uphill shot to a tiny green.
The drive on the 7th from the top of the course is lovely but a creek, trees, and nearly no fairway will leave you scratching your head- good luck.
The 8th is a drivable par 4 with another small green. The tiny little green at the 9th will take an expert shot under the overhanging trees at the tee and over the green protecting trees. Only 75 metres, consider taking a putter off the tee.
