This picturesque 18-hole golf course has a unique layout on rolling countryside near the Waioeka River in the Opotiki township.
The course has outstanding sea views over the coast-line, with White Island smouldering in the backdrop. It is more park-like than coastal, with undulating tree-lined fairways.
“The Wrecker” looks like a beast to be tamed, a sweeping uphill par 5 which is the signature hole around here. Not the longest par 5 but the 14th could get you if you are busy looking at the views and not the position of your drive.
