Situated 5 mins south of Hillcrest, a suburb of Hamilton, the Riverside golf club is the result of a merger of 2 courses in 2013.
The Narrows Course is easy walking, testing and interesting. In existence since 1935. So-called I assume because this is the narrowest part of the mighty Waikato River. The 18th is a finishing hole of note. An elevated tee to a plateau green, 114 metres seems easy. The clubrooms overlook the green and one slip up or master stoke will go down in your history.
The Lochiel Course is under reconstruction, it was fighting with St. Andrews as the best course in the Hamilton area. It will be good to see it open again and what this looks for their future.
