Established in 1971, the Stewart Alexander Golf Club is situated 6kms southwest of Te Awamutu.
The course is a par 70 with 6 par 3’s, over 5,108 metres. There are excellent greens, mature trees and groomed fairways.
Stories go that it was the longest course in the Waikato at over 7,000 metres set up for international competition. In 1980 exhausted locals reduced the length to the current manageable layout.
